Each photographer may submit one photograph in each category. The photograph should respond to that category’s prompt; the organizer may disqualify an entry that does not.

How the challenge works
These rules keep the photographs anonymous, the voting simple, and the final result focused on the image members respond to most.

Each photographer may submit one photograph in each category. The photograph should respond to that category’s prompt; the organizer may disqualify an entry that does not.

Each member may choose one photograph in every category and may change that choice while voting is open. Members cannot vote for their own photographs.

After casting a category vote, a member may award that same photograph their one Best in Show star. The star may be used in any category, but only on a photograph that member already selected.

The Safari Challenge winner is the single photograph with the most category votes across all entries. Categories organize the prompts; they do not produce separate winners.

If photographs tie on category votes, the tied photograph with the most Best in Show stars wins. If they also tie on stars, they remain co-winners.

Entries and feedback remain anonymous during voting. Members see only their own choices, while vote totals stay private until voting closes. Final results show both category votes and Best in Show stars.
A Best in Show star is a tiebreaker—not a second category vote.
Moving a category vote away from a starred photograph automatically removes that star. Community comments are encouraged, but they never affect the results.
